How we work

Seven key strategies guide every project we take on, from the first sketch to the last detail on site.

Honoring local communities
and identities.

Honoring local communities and identities.

Our designs grow out of the communities and identities they serve. We aim to strengthen cultural and historical contexts, creating places that feel meaningful, inclusive, and lasting. Every project begins by listening to the stories, traditions, and values of its surroundings, so our architecture connects and resonates with the people who use it.

Local understanding, global perspective.

Local understanding, global perspective.

We pride ourselves on having an international perspective that is always grounded in local realities. Our global experience gives us a wide view, but it's our careful attention to local cultures, communities, and environments that ensures our work truly fits its context.

Maximize impact,
minimize resources.

Maximize impact, minimize resources.

Sustainability is at the core of everything we do. We design buildings that are efficient, adaptable, and future-proof, aiming to maximize impact with minimal resources. From the start, we focus on simplicity, reducing material use, energy demand, and waste, and translating complex requirements into clear, buildable solutions that stand the test of time.

Unifying visions,
to build consensus.

Unifying visions, to build consensus.

Architecture is a collective effort. Our projects succeed because we bring stakeholders together, ensuring all voices are heard and valued. Through clear communication and mediation, we build consensus and transform differing perspectives into cohesive, innovative design solutions.

Creating what is needed,
rather than what is asked.

Creating what is needed, rather than what is asked.

At the start of every assignment, we take time to carefully understand what the client is actually asking for, and why. We look beyond the initial brief to uncover hidden needs and potentials, and ask the questions that haven't yet been asked. This enables us to shape a more meaningful and impactful project scope.

Add to subtract,
subtract to add.

Add to subtract, subtract to add.

Our architectural solutions aim to make complex challenges feel simple. Intentional design means making clear, deliberate choices rooted in the project's goals, context, and story. While our buildings respond to demanding constraints, they never appear overcomplicated. Designing in Asia has taught us to move quickly, protect the ideas that matter, and let go of those that become a burden.

Collective creativity,
shared success!

Collective creativity, shared success!

We represent a new wave of architects: efficient, humble, and grounded in both experience and knowledge. We stand apart from the 'starchitect' stereotype by focusing on creating meaningful and impactful spaces for people, not for recognition within the architectural world. Since founding our studio in 2016, we have intentionally built our team on diversity rather than similarity. Our team brings together different backgrounds, cultures, and disciplines, forming a universal collective that thrives on inclusivity and collaboration.
